What is circuit training?

Circuit training or has become a very popular training style in recent years. Why? If you are running out of time, you will find this type of training extremely beneficial – if you have done it right, you will achieve more in less time.

How to configure a circuit

Define your goal: decide what you are working on. This can be either muscle groups or some ability (strength, agility, endurance) …)
Choose the exercises: create a circuit of four exercises (2 for the main muscle group you are working with and 2 for the opposing muscle group).
Start: perform the exercises in this order – main muscle group-opposite muscle group-main muscle group-opposite muscle group
Keep track of time: your tour should last between 20 and 30 minutes. Do not overexert yourself, because this will prevent you from achieving permanent strength gains.
Interval Training
While interval training is often considered the same as circuit training, this is not the matter.

What is the difference between circuit training and interval training?

Circuit training is a form of strength training that aims to involve more muscle groups and compound movements in one session than would be the matter with traditional strength training.

Interval training focuses on performing an exercise with maximum effort followed by a short period of rest. As you progress, your work time should increase to one minute and your rest time should be between 10 and 20 seconds.

Therefore, the main difference between these types of training is that circuit training is a form of strength training, and interval training is a form of intense cardio.

Keep both sessions within 30 minutes to avoid fatigue. Do each session every other day to leave enough time for recovery.
